I’ve been wanting to watch this since it has been on Netflix. I had heard of the book and that it was good, and really didn’t know much about the plot. I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. I liked the octopus and how he talked/narrated and I liked his attitude. I really loved Tova and Cameron and their growth through the whole move.

I found the movie funny, emotional, uplifting, sad sometimes and really shows grief and how sometimes it takes a long time to get over something. I didn’t see the plot twist at the end coming either! I’m not sure if I’ll read the book after this since I’ve heard its super similar, but overall a very cute movie I would recommend to anyone who likes found family or comedy.
